Initial Projects Now in Development
Here is a brief outline of proposals and projects now in development. I am seeking collaborators and folks interested to comment or co-create these efforts or others like them.
Sustainable Science Facilities – self-transformation of the physical workplaces, buildings, and campuses of academic, government, and private science facilities to lead the systemic transformation for sustainability by example
Transformation of culture to solve GEMC – How can we tell when we have turned the corner and that actions to solve the global ecological multi-crisis (GEMC) are working? One way is to see that all or many systemic crisis trends reverse together, in synchrony.
Learning from and following leadership of indigenous peoples
Convening meetings of indigenous and space exploration communities – these two groups may seem worlds apart, but they in fact share a crucial common value – the value of Life. I seek to convene meetings at which participants from the two communities can discuss the potential for complementarity and cooperation between efforts to sustain Life in local and regional environments and lands and efforts to disperse Life to new environments.
ASTEM 2.0 Education – Youth and others are potential leaders for a new science paradigm and demonstrating its role in transformative cultural change for sustainability. A draft Holistic, Organic, Living System (HOLS) ASTEM curriculum is available on request. ASTEM is Art, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
